A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Amy. ✨
I have worked in early childhood education for over 14 years, supporting children, families, and educators across a range of early learning settings. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of emotional safety, strong relationships, and intentional practice in supporting children to thrive.
My work is grounded in the belief that behaviour is communication and that children learn best when they feel calm, connected, and understood. I am passionate about supporting educators to feel confident in their roles, recognising that when adults are supported and regulated, they are better able to support the emotional worlds of the children in their care.
The Amy Approach was created to bridge theory and practice in a way that feels achievable and meaningful. Drawing on established early childhood theories, including attachment theory, neuroscience, co-regulation, and play-based learning, I support educators to translate these ideas into everyday routines, environments, and interactions.
Alongside working with services and teams, I am also committed to supporting emerging educators as they navigate their studies and early career experiences. I understand the challenges of balancing theory, coursework, and practice, and I aim to provide guidance that builds confidence, clarity, and connection.
Above all, my work is relationship-led. I value reflective practice, thoughtful conversations, and creating spaces where educators feel seen, supported, and empowered to do meaningful, sustainable work. 🌿
